     Graduate Student Assistantship Opening

  • Department of Robotics & Mechatronics Engineering of DGIST & Department of Artificial Intelligence of DGIST have an opening for the 2025 spring semester graduate student assistantship with the following research focus area (Advisor: Prof. Inkyu Moon, Email: inkyu.moon@dgist.ac.kr):
    1) Deep Learning, 2) Image Processing & Analysis, 3) Digital Optics, 4) Computer Vision, 5) Cryptosystems 

  • To qualify for this highly competitive scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:
    1. Hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree as of Mar. 1st, 2025
    2. For master’s program (or Integrated Master’s & Doctoral Program): students should hold a bachelor’s degree or a diploma that is equivalent to or higher than bachelor’s degree
    3. For doctoral program: students should hold a master’s degree or a diploma that is equivalent to or higher than master’s degree
    4. Important requirements for international applicants: English test score should be over 80 in TOEFL or 6.0 in IELTS (Korean applicants don’t need to submit an official English test score)

  • Listed below are some features of this research assistantship and the expected benefits of the program for successful applicants:
    1. Monthly allowance of at least 2,000,000 won (KRW) for PhD student and students in MS/PhD Integrated Program
    2. Monthly allowance of at least 1,500,000 won (KRW) for master student and the first year’s students in MS/PhD Integrated Program
    3. Tuition fees for the study period 
    4. Extra allowances based on research performance

  • Preliminary application procedure for international applicants: interested international applicants should send the following things by Nov. 10th, 2024 to the above advisor email address
    1) Study plan (clearly stating the research topics you are interested in)
    2) Academic transcripts
    3) CV (to include names, education, work experience, publications)
    4) Copy of an official English score (TOEFL or IELTS score should be submitted)
